Silk Purse from Trade as One - Fair Trade Company

Auctions Ends: Friday July 17th at 10pm
Estimated Value: $49
Opening Bid: $20

Trade as One's  mission is to use sustainable business to break cycles of poverty and dependency in the developing world. "We all have a conscience, and we want to give people the chance to use it when they shop".

Trade as One is donating this Heidi Silk Purse in Cranberry.
Product Description~
Trapezoid handbag in cranberry handspun silk with contrasting cream stripes in smooth silk, with round wooden handles.  Inside pockets for your cellphone.

This purse is produced by the Hagar Project.
The Hagar Project gives shelter, food, counselling, medical care, education, and much more to women rescued from and vulnerable to the sex trade in Cambodia. Designing and sewing purses and bags gives them a chance to support their families with dignity and respect.

Your bid on this purse will help Pleasanton schools, but more importantly you will know that it was made for a fair price by someone rescued from a life of abuse and oppression.  The money The Hagar Project makes goes to educate the rescued women, so your donation does double duty in helping education.

Now if that doesn't compell you to bid, I don't know what will!

Bonus Option!  The highest bidder can choose to pick up the purse at the warehouse in Fremont, and get a tour of the warehouse , or TaO will ship the purse to you.

***and don't forget to check out Trade as One's website for more Fair Trade products!
