1 Week Camp Character Tuition - Summer 2010

Auction Ends: Friday July 10th at 10pm

Estimated Value: $135

Opening Bid: $40

A summer day camp where kids

have fun while learning to give to others…….

Laura Ditto, K-1 Discovery Teacher at Walnut Grove is donating 1 week of tuition to Camp Character, a fee-based organization attached to PUSD's summer school.  This auction is for 1 week of tuition in summer 2010.

Do you want to instill in your child a desire to serve to others?  This win-win inspiring program will encourage your child to Give, Share and Care.  Your camper will understand the 3 aspects to learning to give… through his/her time, talents and/or treasure (money).  Camp Character is a week long program where children from grades 2-5 can come and first get educated about the needs of our own community, surrounding community and the world. Then children get to pick whatever "pulls at their heart" to create/make something for someone/some animal in need.  On the last day of camp we actually GO to the place and give them our items such as... "A Hope Jar", kid made -cat beds/dog pull toys/dog treats to our local SPCA, collect Pennies for Peace, make no-sew blankets for Project Night, Night for homeless children, make "giving plates" filled with brownies/cookies and give them to people we know that could use a smile, collect clothes/canned food for Project Dignity in Oakland, CA and much, much more.

Thank You Mrs. Ditto!

I have a feeling this is going to be a hot one....  Start the bidding!

Auction Closes: Friday July 3 10pm
Estimated Value: $450
Starting Bid: $50

Shirley White, of Shirley White Law is generously donating an estate plan:

"Everyone needs an estate plan, especially if you have children.  Not only will you be helping your children with bidding on this item because you are supporting their schools, but you will also be taking care of them by naming guardians for them.  For this auction item, I will prepare a simple estate plan for you.  This includes a consultation, a Will (names guardians and those you would like to receive your estate), Durable Power of Attorney (names a person to take care of your financial affairs in case of your incapacity), and a Health Care Directive (states your medical wishes, i.e life support or no life support).  If at the consultation we determine you need more than merely a simple will, I will deduct $450 off your estate plan."

This is one of those things we all know we need, but most of us put off actually DOING. This is your perfect opportunity to get it done!  Start the bidding!

How the auctions will work

The rules may evolve as we get going and see ways to improve the process.  However this is how they will start.  I will be listing auction items as they come in, and the auctions will end on Fridays.  I will give the best description I can of each item.  I will also list the estimated value, starting bid, and date/time the auction will end.  Bidders will place their bid in the "comments" section  located at the bottom of each post.  If you are posting without a google account, please leave your name & e-mail address with your bid.  Bids should increase by minimum of $5 increments.  The winning bidder at the time the auction closes will then donate the winning bid amount to PPIE or PPSE, then send me the confirmation e-mail as proof of their donation.  Then the auction item will be delivered to the winner.
Any questions on how this works, please e-mail me!
Have something to auction?  Please e-mail me!
