~Items that cannot be mailed (i.e. gift cards) will need to be picked up from my Pleasanton home. I'll give the address to the auction winners.

About Me
My name is Amy Taylor and I'm a mom to 3. Two Valley View students, and one future VV student. I love Pleasanton, I love our schools, and I LOVE our teachers! amy.taylor2@comcast.net
Let's get CREATIVE!
After donating my $189/child to PPIE I wanted to do something more. While our bank account is limited, we do have skills, trades and other resources to offer, and hopefully some of you do to! My goal is to have ongoing auctions over the next 7 weeks to help raise the $2.8 million dollars we need to save some of our valued teachers and programs. Will you help me by checking the auctions, telling everyone you know about the auctions, and even donating some of YOUR talents, skills, goods and services to the auctions? Please e-mail me at amy.taylor2@comcast.net if you have anything to auction off. Don't think you have anything to auction? Think outside the box! Be creative....

Some auction ideas....
Tickets to a sporting event, a delivered home-cooked meal, teeth cleaning, 1-time house cleaning, pet walking/grooming, handcrafts, babysitting, weekend away at your vacation home, products that you sell, haircut/color, website design, tutoring, swim lessons, or any kind of service your company offers. Ask local companies if they are willing to donate an item or service to auction off. The possibilities are endless!
For those of you that saw this blog in the first couple days it was up, I just wanted to clarify the tax-write off issue. After further research I have learned that the tax deduction for the donation is limited to the amount in excess of fair value paid.
